Claude Desktop - TryMCP

Open your server’s Integration tab. Select Claude Desktop and copy the config. It uses mcp-remote as a bridge and needs Node.js with npx on your computer. Add the entry to claude_desktop_config.json. Keep any existing server entries.

Replace the URL with your endpoint. Restart Claude Desktop and check that your active tools appear.

Private servers

For Unlisted, use the full URL with its secret path. For API Key, add these two items at the end of args:

Replace YOUR_API_KEY with the server’s key. For OAuth, complete your provider’s sign-in flow when prompted. If the connection fails, check the URL, security mode, and the server’s Active switch.
